Things to see in Chepstow
There are a number of things to see in Chepstow. And there is something for everyone with the historic castle and the lovely nature trails in the area. The fantastic cycle paths also offer a more physical activity. Or if you would prefer a quiet day the views around the town will provide you with everything you need. The bandstand and riverbank offer some peaceful places to sit and take in the scenery.
The iconic Chepstow Castle offers some fabulous views. With it being situated right next to the River Wye there are some truly breath taking views. The castle is full of history and is worth seeing with it having the oldest castle doors in Europe. When staying in this town you have to take a look into the history and the castle offers the ideal way to do that.
If you are after a walk or cycle the Offa’s dyke path is right up your street. The path goes all the way along the Welsh-English border and brings with it some amazing views. Starting in nearby Sedbury the path offers a great challenge and some unforgettable scenes. There are a number of other paths in the area and plenty of things to see in Chepstow and the surrounding areas.
Chepstow has a lovely market for you to see and a wide array of shops in the town centre. The weekly market brings you the chance to get some of the excellent locally sourced foods. As well as this the racecourse here is a fantastic place to see that plays host to the Welsh Grand National. There are also events all year round here making it an extremely popular place to visit. With so many things to see in Chepstow you’ll never forget your visit!
