There are plenty of things to do in Chepstow. From looking around the historic castle to the beautiful nature trails there is something for everyone. If you are after a more physical activity there are lovely cycle paths. Or if a quiet day is what you want the Chepstow area has some fantastic views. The town has lovely green areas around it offering peaceful places to have a picnic.
The town is well known for the iconic Chepstow Castle. Sitting right next to the River Wye it has some breath taking views to sit and take in. The castle itself is full of history and has the oldest castle doors in Europe. When visiting Chepstow taking a look into the history of this town is a must. And the castle is the ideal way to do this.
If you are after a more challenging day out the Offa’s dyke path may be for you. The path starts in nearby Sedbury and goes all the way up the border to Prestatyn. It brings with it stunning views and a great challenge. So if walking or cycling is your cup of tea then the Offa’s dyke path is a must. There are other paths and so many things to do in Chepstow.
If you like poking around a pretty market or fancy a more conventional shop Chepstow is for you. The weekly market offers fantastic locally produced food. The area is known for its lovely food which can be found in the brilliant restaurants of the town. With a wide range of choice it will keep your taste buds happy.
