Events in Chepstow

There are a number of events in Chepstow that make it an interesting place to visit. From music festivals to the famous Hoggin’ the bridge there is a lot going on. As well as this the racecourse provides many big events that help put Chepstow on the map. There is also the Wyedean Forest rally that is hugely popular and brings many people to the town.

Chepstow has played host to a few small festivals that are extremely popular with the locals. They used to be held in the dell at the top of town. But have also been held within the castle site. These venues have brought with it some well-known musicians making for a great day out.

The Welsh Grand National is hosted by Chepstow racecourse and brings many people to the town. There are also family days here that have proven to be hugely popular. As well as this the racecourse often has concerts on and has played host to Madness and Tom Jones in the past. There are also regular tribute acts, these are just some of the events in Chepstow.

The annual Hoggin’ the bridge is a special day here run for charity. This is where thousands of motorcyclists meet in Aust and come over the Severn Bridge. After going around some of the towns and villages they end up at Chepstow racecourse. There is refreshments and entertainment on at the racecourse afterwards.

Another massive annual event in the area is the Wyedean Forest Rally. This starts at the Chepstow racecourse and the cars will go off around the Forest of Dean track. It has been running since 1975 and is a very popular race in the area. With all this and much more there are so many events in Chepstow to keep you busy.
