Chepstow backpackers

And some of the country’s best scenery can be found in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. In these districts there are so many nature trails for you to explore. One particularly tough one is the Offa’s Dyke path.

There are a few challenging trails that start in the nearby areas. Beginning in Sedbury is the Offa’s Dyke path. This path can take up 2 weeks to complete and is 177 miles long. It takes you all the way up the Welsh English border ending in Prestatyn in North Wales. As well as this there is the Celtic Trail that begins at Chepstow Castle. This is a 220 mile path along the south of Wales ending by the Irish Sea in the town of Fishguard.

And if you’re lucky you may see some of the spectacular wildlife the district has. There are many species of deer and even wild boar within the forests. The Wye Valley also has some stunning walks for you to take on. With the River Wye at the heart of it there are some fantastic scenes.
